About the Author

Born 1947 in Copenhagen and educated at the University of Copenhagen.

The book is written in the years from 2014 to 2025. All work was unpaid and unsupported. The purpose of this effort is to provoke and encourage future research and thinking.

A variety of specific circumstances were essential for writing this book. I would like to acknowledge the influence and impact of:

  • My wife, the furrier and autism support worker, for having common sense, and for many years of patience.
  • My children and grandchildren, for providing motivation, additional perspectives, books, and technical support.
  • My father, the MD, for showing the possibility of working across disciplines as different as cardiology, radiology, medical infrastructure, healtcare information systems, and medieval history.
  • My mother, the librarian, for sacrificing a part of her career to raise children, and for showing the value of details, structures, and literature.
  • Professor P.V. Glob (1911-1985) for being a role model in the devopment of  major ideas through intuition, personal courage, extensive knowledge, and systematic detail analysis.
  • My teacher, professor C. J. Becker (1915-2001), for being critical of his own discipline and open to other disciplines, and for promoting open-ended long-term projects based on individual knowledge, interests, and ambitions.
  • The University of Copenhagen, for enabling evidence-based research in the years 1966-1979. Mag. art 1974. Kandidatstipendiat 1976-1979.
  • My boss at the National Museum of Denmark, Mogens Ørsnes (1925-1994), for entrusting the responsibility of analyzing, creating, coding,  implementing, and leading a national database of archaeological sites and artifacts.
  • Charles Darwin (1809-1882), whose work stands as a pinnacle of clear and timeless theories on sensitive issues, achieved through ambition, patience, clarity in thought and language, and a combination of broad and deep study.
  • The reactions and non-reactions to the first editions of this book
  • The 1950s, for a stimulating and harmonious childhood.
  • The 1960s, for open-minded creativity, a culture of dialogue, and for learning how to think and write without using a computer.
  • The 1970s, for providing the first insight into the nature of totalitarian ideology and for experiences on how to produce scientific work without internet access.
  • The 1980s, for enabling a second career in high tech as a project manager.
  • The 1990s for disclosing the toxic side of Western culture.
  • The 21 century, for an abundance of research with untapped potential

Part I: Medical, Biological, Evolutionary, and Psychological Considerations

There is a growing recognition that something is wrong with physical, mental, and social health in the Western world. The present approach identifies the reason for this troubling trend as a subtle but lethal evolutionary discrepancy in the context of sexual selection

Part II: Social, Historical, Cultural, and Political Considerations.

Part II aims to trace the political and international structures underlying this development by considering the imaginary country of FemUtoLand which is built on female power. All actions and decisions in FemUtoLand are driven by evolutionary forces stemming from reproductive interests.

About the Author

The author has had two careers, one in prehistoric archaeology, the other in high tech as a project manager. The content of this book is based on more than a decade of reflection on the nature and origins of human motivation and Western diseases.
